Ahmed Akaïchi (born in Sousse, Tunisia on 23 February 1989)[2] is a professional footballer. He currently plays for the 2nd Bundesliga side FC Ingolstadt 04[3] as well as the Tunisian national football team.[4]
Prior to the 2009–10 season, Ahmed played up front for Etoile Du Sahel. On 22 August 2009, he, somewhat amazingly, scored four goals in one game against local rivals ES Hammam-Sousse in a 5–1 win.[5]
Despite his tender age, Akaïchi continued to impress and looked capable of winning the league's golden boot award. He earned his first call up to the Tunisia team when he was selected for the 2010 African Cup of Nations, held in Angola.[5] In the summer of 2011, Akaïchi left Tunisia and joined German second division club FC Ingolstadt 04.[3]
